In coordination with METU MUD Studio, Fall 2017 PUD Studio takes the issue of peripheral urban formations into consideration for the design research studies to be conducted within UD555 Parametric Urban Design course during the current semester. Calling for the participation of the grad students from architecture, planning and landscape architecture, the course aims to study on developing various parametric models of land development with a diverse settlement typologies generated over the vast urban peripheries. To be located in the specific context of Döşemealtı, the growing peripheral county of Antalya, the contextual design experimentations will tend to simulate alternative growth patterns under certain spatial and functional parameters.The first meeting of the class will be held on October 5th, 2017 at R.52B METU MUD Studio. For the enrolment to the course, attendance to the first meeting is kept compulsory.
